Once a writer for In Living Color, was one of my favorite comedians. Loved his bits on the Stern show, especially the Tyson-Holyfield bit.

This is one of those weird deaths like Crocodile Hunter. You survive all this dangerous shit only to be taken out by a stupid accident. That guy was my favorite comic. This sucks balls. RIP Schimmel. And here is one of his many funny quotes...

I feel sorry for her. Imagine having to live with that for the rest of your life.

Dude was from a family of Holocaust survivors, had a heart attack, had cancer, got Hep C from a blood transfusion, lost a son to cancer, and then died due to injuries sustained from a car accident while his daughter was driving.

If I'm ever having a bad day, I'll just think about Robert Schimmel and put it into perspective.

This sucks bad. I saw his act in Vegas one time and then later that night we were playing cards together at the same table. He had everybody laughing their ass off at the hold 'em table too, probably to distract us while he was raking it in.
