I used the Donkos version to pick up tickets for the Chiefs game. It worked great - just like buying tickets new. My two tips, however, would be:

1. Figure out the fees before getting to excited about a price. I don't remember HOW high they were, but it's on the scale of $10 per ticket.

2. At least out here, tickets get cheaper the closer you get to the game, though you have to be a bit of a gambler to take that approach.

Damn, can't avoid those ticketmaster type fees no matter what you do. Thats annoying. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll just wait it out and see what happens.

The only thing I noticed with it in comparison say to stubhub is that ticket exchange charged a fee per ticket where stubhub just charged one fee for both tickets I bought, therefore making it cheaper for the exact same tickets. So we used Stubhub for the Monday night game this year.

Didn't think about stubhub. I'm surprised that they actually have reasonable ticket prices.

stub hub has the fees also. I bought extra tickets for the Titans game from there early on and got them for face value (section 109) the total price came to around $87.00 per ticket which is $11 more than what's printed on the tickets.

TicketExchange is perfectly safe because it's NFL-sanctioned and goes through Ticketmaster. You have to be a season ticket holder or on the season ticket wait list to use it (at least here in New England). There is a slight fee per ticket but it's much cheaper (again, out here) than StubHub and the other "legal scalpers". The cheapest Pats ticket might be $69 face and around $79 on TicketExchange, and the most expensive might be $169 face and $182 on TicketExchange... whereas StubHub and the others could **** you for over $200 on whatever tickets they choose.

The reason you have to be a season ticket holder or on the wait list is because many clubs are following Kraft's lead; he's had a policy here where, if you give your season ticket seats to someone and they get thrown out for drunk-and-disorderly, the Patriots might take your season tickets away. With TicketExchange, season ticket holders can turn their seats in (I believe, in lieu of money, they get a credit on next season's tickets) and the buyer--since they're either season ticket holders themselves or on the wait list--assumes responsibility (if you're on the wait list and get thrown out, they drop you from the wait list).

I've used it twice this season, to go to the Pats home opener against the Bungles and the Minny game where Moss came back to town. There are almost always seats available for every game, even days before the game. It rocks. Well worth the $100pp (fully refundable) that I put down on the Patriots season-ticket wait list for me and the wife. (And even if you're only down for two tickets, you can buy up to four per game.)

Ticket exchange is great. I've both purchased and sold tickets through that site. Not a single problem.
