I wouldn't think that would really be a reason to be fired.

That's a little different than running a sensational story based off a text from some moke in a pizza parlor. However, I don't see anyone getting fired off of it. Look at all the attention 610 is getting.

Yeah, I heard Fescoe trying to justify his rumor. He was saying "why would we lie?" Duh....ratings. Idiot!

I dont think so. They were basically a year ahead of schedule and weren't ready for the upper tier of teams like Baltimore, Pittsburgh, New England.

Next year they will take a step back record wise but will probably be a better team then they were this year. You can use their in-division games to gauge this.

The following year will be the year to break through. If they're up to the task.

There is a bit of merit to it, at least as far as next year's record. By going 10-6 and winning the division, we get a lower first round draft pick and have to play a first-place schedule next year.

The perfect scenario if you only are worried about next year is for the team to go something like 6-10 and be competitive in every game, then get a mid first round pick or better and play a 3rd or 4th place schedule next year.

With all that said, I prefer making the playoffs this year as opposed to the theoretical results next year, so piss on Fescoe.

It's one thing to send me something and I post it on the intrawebs, quite another to make the claim over the radio airwaves as a "reliable" source. The guy who owns/manages the pizza joint where Weis eats......we need a big ESPN....COME ON MAN!

Here's the kind of example emails I get all the time but never post here because of lack of faith either in the source or the story. And I'm posting this chit with huge disclaimers and on an internet message board. Thats a pretty low bar to begin with, little own a legitamate radio show. again.....this is consdered BS by me and the reason why it was never posted anywhere...at least by me.

Supposely the straw that broke the camels back was Haley pulling Cassel out of the game to yell at him. Supposely they were discussing on the head sets how to handle Cassel's free lancing after he was told to quit doing it. Weis said it was a really stupid idea to pull a QB in a game to yell at him. It would cause too much trouble with not only the QB but in the locker room. He begged him to calm down. Haley did it anyway.

On Monday in the film room Haley and Cassel were yelling at each other over him being pulled out of the game and publically embrassed. Dissing him in front of the team causing him to lose some respect in the locker room for no good reason. Cassel was heard by several people outside the room to yell.....We could have discussed this today. That was a bullshot move.
