Congratulations. Your line of work will probably be replaced with computers using enhanced natural-speak in about 10-20 years.

But enjoy the work while you can!

I'm only kidding, luv. It's probably going to take 20-30 years at least for ALL courtrooms to acquire this technology.

Not all law is done in the court room. There's research, memos, briefs, notices, interviews, and several other things that get done. If you think the attorney is going to 1) take the time to do them all, or 2) learn how to use the new technology, you are sorely mistaken.

My bosses husband is a very successful attorney, and he still uses a dictaphone. He just started using email this last year.

I do transcription. He hands me the client file with a little tape attached to it. He's definitely not used to being able to register and do stuff online. He's gotten very good at attaching files to his emails, though.
