*If, as expected, Todd Haley does not survive in Kansas City, Josh McDaniels could end up with the Chiefs three years after many thought he would land there. Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli could hire his old buddy from their New England days to be his head coach—if he could sell McDaniels to Clark Hunt. Or, Pioli could hire a defensive minded head coach and make McDaniels the coordinator, assuming McDaniels is fired in St. Louis. Aside from the Pioli connection, another reason McDaniels makes sense on the other end of Missouri is he has a strong relationship with Matt Cassel. In fact, the quarterback and his former offensive coordinator still talk frequently.

Hey, the two years that he has had a good offensive coordinator, he looks like an NFL QB. The two years that Haley is the OC or the defacto OC, he looks lost.

I am one who values coaching. It is not like he has made Palko look very good, or get any better. And, that is HIS guy.

It isn't like he handled the Orton thing well either.

Haley is a clown and is now run outta town....time to get down.

As a Bronco fan let me say this about McDaniels: he's as bad a coach as he is a general manager. For some reason everyone bought the rhetoric that he was a good X's and O's guy, but game time he just through screens until the rout was on and then pumped up Orton and Lloyd's fantasy stats.

He has the Rams averaging under a TD a game on offense and they are pitfull in the red zone.

The other piece of rhetoric that the Bronco job was like The Hoodie in Cleveland sounds unlikely as well.

Pioli would have to be as cronyistic as McDaniels to hire McDaniels.

Needless to say I would love that punk coaching or even OCing a division rival.
