What would give you hope that is also realistic?

We all know Pioli is staying. Clark won't fire him at this point. I think Pioli is probably a decent football guy, but not as good as advertised and is 100% to blame for the lack of depth. I'd rather Haley be able to finish what he started with a healthy club and better QB...but I'm pretty sure he's not going to be retained. Any talk of Clark being the problem is futility - he's the owner. He's not going anywhere.

So...knowing Pioli is probably staying and Haley is probably gone, what are the realisitic fixes for this organization/team that would also give you hope going forward?

I'd prefer Ferentz to McDaniels, but no way Ferentz takes the job if Matt Cassel as starting QB is non-negotiable.

Any of those guys and we would kick the Broncos ass and own this division for the next decade.

Ferentz is emotionally stable, not prone to outbursts, and very low-key.

In other words, he's exactly the opposite of Todd Haley.

That's okay. You need to make the playoffs to win the SB. Maybe they get "lucky" and get an Eli and win 2.

I'm just saying, why take a guy just to take a guy. I know I wouldn't want Denver to be stuck with Flacco or a Stafford for the next 10 years. I don't want a guy who is going to be just good enough not to be replaced.

This is a pretty simple one for me. Draft a franchise QB.

My fan morale is pretty low right now and I am only expecting it to get worse. It's shaping up to be a pretty damn ugly off season.

but what if you get a Roethlisber, or Rogers, Manning, or even Newton at this point.
the risk is worth the reward IMO. and if it doesn't work, you draft another.

There's literally no risk. The Chiefs have nothing left to lose.

I'd like to see a PR/marketing/business overhaul as well. While this might make little impact to the most rabid fans, this is hugely important for the majority of those that comprise our fanbase. Yes...winning is the best way to do this. But winning last year did not change the fact that there seemed to be a lack of respect/concern for the average fan from the FO. There needs to be some damage control in this area.

Donovan needs to be replaced by someone that's more public. The head coach should not be the only public face of the team...especially if it's someone that's not too media savvy. The team needs someone that knows how to work the fanbase. Someone that will restore the proper sense of hate for the Raiders...restore the dread of Arrowhead into other teams and generally whip the fanbase into a frenzy.

While not the sexy move, I'm waiting to see if they fire Donovan.

2. Really? Overreaction. Promote Perles to Line Coach, keep Zorn, Parmalee, Carthon, Gibbs at a minimum.

3. Again overboard. This team has more needs and can't Ricky Williams their draft away. Depending where we're at I would put up 1st, 3rd and 4th to move up.

4. Not exactly under anyone's control.
