Cleaning Caulk off of tub
(No Gochiefs ... i said cleaning Caulk, not cleaning Cock)


Hey experts!!!

so the tub is in pretty good condition except for the fact that it looks like they just applied caulking over the old instead of cleaning it off completely.

any tricks to getting caulking residue off WITHOUT scratching the porcelain?


yes, i'd be willing to even try antifreeze if someone really thought that would do any good.

Get everything you can with a razor blade scraper - without getting into the tub finish. Get the rest with a chemical. Try mineral spirits, goof off, gel stripper...

Just turn the water on really cold for a few minutes. Your caulk won't fall off, but it will shrivel up to the point where you can barely even notice it's there.
