Thoughts and prayers needed

I don't usually do this but things are bad. Really bad. I'm not sure someone I love is going to make it through the next 24 hours.

You see, my football team has AIDS. It picked up the HIV virus long ago but in the last 4 years things have gone from waiting to dying. Now everyone can see that it may well all come to an end very soon. In fact, the docs say the next 24 hours could be the defining moments. An aggresive strain called pioliofungusamongus has taken over and things are bleak to say the least. Pain meds don't work at all. They say the only thing we can do now is to hope this new drug called chuntifan will kill the piolifungusamongus. We'll know soon. It's an experimental drug and completely unproven but it's all we have to "clench" to.

If you believe in God or a higher power... even if you don't... send up some prayers or postive thoughts that this nightmare may end with a happy outcome. The soul is willing but the body is weak. The next 24 hours will tell us a lot.

To anyone who has done a prayer thread and is offended by my lighthearted poke at the Chiefs... I am sorry. No disrespect to you or your loved ones was meant. I've done a real prayer thread before as well. I must mean to disrespect my ex boss who I loved dearly.

But even though some on CP need something to bitch and moan about I'm confident most people aren't so ****ing obtuse as to take it that way. I actually believe most people here have common sense.

Just remember you can wish injury or death on an opposing player or turn a death thread about a random person or celebrity into a punfest... but don't pick on the Chiefs unless it's in an actual football thread.

I've prayed to my lord Satan that your football team will lay down and be put peacefully to rest by keeping Pioli as your GM. While this is a slow demise, eventually, it will go unnoticed.
