The Lions cut safety Louis Delmas last week. The Steelers will be getting the first crack at signing him.

The 2009 second-round pick is visiting the Steelers on Monday, per a league source. Because his contract was terminated, Delmas can sign with any team, at any time.

In Detroit, Delmas played safety in a defense that didn’t really pigeonhole one safety or the other as strong or free. In Pittsburgh, free safety Ryan Clark will become a free agent, and strong safety Troy Polamalu has a base salary of $8.25 million and a cap number of $10.88 million. Delmas could replace either of them, in theory.

Or his visit could be primarily about squeezing Clark and/or Polamalu into accepting whatever offer the Steelers currently have on the table.

Clark can't play in mile high because of sickle cell so no way or reason to look at him

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Broncos and Falcons are interested in free agent FS Louis Delmas.
Delmas, 27 in April, visited the Steelers on Monday but is going to continue his tour after this week's Scouting Combine. The Falcons could pair Delmas with SS William Moore, allowing the team to cut bait with struggling FS Thomas DeCoud. Delmas could pair with Rahim Moore or Duke Ihenacho in Denver. Delmas is free to sign with any team immediately since he was released last week.

I have no idea what you are talking about, I have this same account for three years going on four. It's not like I just made it two months ago. I come here to talk football and other sports, and get a lot of neat info on television, movies, etc and I definitely do not attack anyone with name calling. You can call me an idiot or make fun of me about being wrong about the Chiefs but I am not trolling this place with multiple accounts nor do I have the time or care to. I am not invested with the forum personalities enough to do that. If someone attacks me I just move on to another thread, doesn't phase me.
