Too early to talk about the Steelers?

Listen, the odds of Miami not getting anally raped by Ben Rapeslisburger is low. There's no way in hell those guys beat Pitt on the road with a backup QB, especially after seeing them shit the bed at home today.

It's pretty much set guys. We're playing the Steelers at home.

Sorry, haven't been following the thread if this has already been said, but the Steelers are built for crappy weather situations. We all saw that earlier this year and probably by just watching them over the last 5 years. Who's to say a key cog won't get a bad ankle sprain, etc. That sort of thing happens all of the time. Let's not put the cart ahead of the horse just yet.

I don't think there is anything to worry about at this time. Pittsburgh still has to win next week. If there's one thing I have seen time and time again in sports, the teams who have guys that truly believe they'll roll ultimately end up losing games they should win handily.

People have suggested that Reid's "Bye record" won't matter as much because we can't prepare for a specific team. Is that really accurate?

If the Steelers lose to Miami, we get Oakland (gameplanning is done already) or Houston (who we've played 3 times in the last 2 years). The Chiefs aren't going to come up with anything new or novel against those two squads as I think they've played them pretty well. Sure, they lost to Houston, but that was just a game where the team simply didn't show. It didn't seem like we got outschemed.

The Steelers, OTOH, just piss-pounded us across the board. Andy really should be spending this entire week game-planning for Pittsburgh, IMO. If it turns out Miami pulls the upset, then we face a reeling Oakland team that we beat twice at their best (which they are now not) or Houston who really does suck.

The good thing is we have played all the possible opponents for the Divisional game already. That will no doubt help. I would imagine Andy is probably spending most of his time on Pitt.

Whoever progresses between Houston and Oakland could have different QBs. start from WC to DR will be more wait and see on those guys.
