Agreed. I wasn't comfortable with Trubisky because there wasn't enough game film of him (small sample size), and he only played for one year. I felt that was taking a huge risk.

Mahomes played for 2.5 years (He played some of his FR year at Tech). That's more evidence of how his mechanics/footwork/etc to study on and to see if there can be improvements, etc. etc. Basically put, it's a larger sample size.

Agreed, much too early on John Ross, DJLN.

... and agree with Mahomes and sample size. They must have examined his flaws closely and feel that they can fix em. It's up to Mahomes and his level of dedication too, of course.

This may be slightly off-topic but this morning I was listening to post-draft videos on Red Zone app. Dorsey was being questioned, repeatedly it seemed, by someone in the press about why they didn't draft Watson. Couldn't hear the questions from the press, but Dorsey kept saying to the effect, "our coaches rated the QBs and PMII was No. 1." The questioner would not let go, and Dorsey gave the same response, we followed our process and PMII was top man. They also questioned Coach Reid about it. Basically same response.

Why would our press want Watson, or was that some national weenie?

Thankfully, we can put to rest the whole mantra about the hunts not wanting to take chances in a qb.

They took a big ****ing swing.

Every Bears fan I talked to at work today was either in mourning or shock. What an epic **** up. Their management is like Pioli on steroids.

Trubisky came off as kind of dumb too. Nice physical tools, but a bit of a meathead.

Mahomes on the other hand, he comes off as very intelligent. 4.0 student. Respectful and mature. Super confident. Quick release. Was given audible rights at the line. His coach trusted him a lot. I'm excited.
