Hypothetical: The Broncos call.

They have a good receiving corps when everybody's healthy, a good running game, and still a very good defense with a lot of pieces in place.

So they make a call: we need a QB. But we're likely getting a top 15 pick in 2018, so you're not getting our first.

But we reeeeeeally want Alex Smith. So we'll pay you with our 1st in 2019, which is (in the Broncos' opinion) somewhere in the mid to late 20s.

Do you take the deal? Poll coming.

This is his 7th straight winning season.

Kind of crazy how different our reactions to this are from before the start of the season to right now. Vastly different.

VARSITY
For all who voted “no” to this trade - now imagine the Broncos already had Alex. Would you trade them our 2019 first round pick to bring Alex to KC for 2018?

Yep, 7 ... my bad, sorted the wrong column.

Either way, that doesn't really change things for me. I do like the slow rebuild of what Alex is around here though. After last season, you couldn't run him out fast enough, now it's like he's Brady jr.

Alix is fine in Andy's system but I don't see a lot of teams with gameplans centered around throwing to the LOS and praying for YAC.

Plus the Broncos don't have a big TE to chuck the ball up to and hope he comes down with.

Is he better than any QB on the Broncos right now, SURE, but is a guy who is going to win anyone Playoff games???? Why waste time winning the RS to sheet the bed in the playoffs every year when you can go out and find a younger option or a guy who can throw downfield consistently.
Literally every line in this whole post is trash.

Where are those QBs, doofus?

And no, Kirk Cousins isn't going to be let go by Washington, you ****ing jackass. Don't waste your time.

"Why do ________ can when you can go find a ______" seems to imply it's easy to do the second option. If it's so ****ing easy, why hasn't Elway filled the Manning hole yet? Could it be that younger options who win playoff games and throw the ball down the field consistently.... *gasp* are REALLY HARD TO ****ING FIND?!?!

You'd do well to have Alex. He's the best you'd be able to get. And no, you'd have to trade for him. I keep offering a CP bet with you and idiot moron Chiefs fans who think Alex Smith will only ever be able to get cut.

He's gonna get traded, and he's gonna go for a first round pick minimum. Put your money where your mouth is, troll. Bet me.
