Bye Bye, Alex

I stood behind you through the 2014 no-TD-to-a-WR debacle, through the 2015 season where you actually looked decent against the Pats in the divisional round, through 2016 and that shit ass performance against the Steelers where you missed so many open receivers, and the four shit ass games you played after starting 5-0 in 2017. Your games against a one win Giants team and a Bills team bringing in the 25th ranked defense and holding you to 9 and 10 points respectively have broken me. I am done giving you the benefit of the doubt. You have had every opportunity to improve and show that you are not a bust of a first overall draft pick, and you have failed to do so. I don't want to see your chicken shit style of play any longer. Let the Patrick Mahomes era in Kansas City begin, post haste.

You guys gotta stop being so hard on Alex.

He's doing his best to start the Mahomes era but Reid won't budge. Alex is doing everything in his power to get benched.

He's playing about as bad as he ever has.

He's putting his body on the line every week trying to get injured.

An air born QB? He's been diving head first at defender for weeks now. What more can the man do?

Bro, Reids offense does just fine when he has a good QB to execute it, not that he doesnt have his faults... but he is forced to be somewhat predictable by his current QB, he is forced into smoke and mirrors trickery by his current QB

He clearly had great success with McNabb, and hell he even turned inconsistent, scattershot Mike Vick into a legit QB

I guarantee you that when Mahomes takes over, Reid is going to look like the lovechild of Bill Walsh and Don Coryell

True but it took Reid only 5 years to realize that he is forced into trickery, smoke and mirrors because of his QB? He should have been looking for a replacement after 2014.

I won't be watching next weekend against the Jets.

I will however be recording the games from here on out because I don't want to miss Mahomes' first snaps.
That's a good plan. Hopefully when Pat first sniffs the field somebody will be kind enough to send me a text about it.

He obviously thought he could remake Smith to a certain extent, and he had some nice early success with him on an up and coming team... Reid is at fault to some degree, but the players have to play

As for coulda woulda shouldas about 2014 or whatever, who cares?... IMO we ended up with the most physically gifted QB of the last 10 years, so it worked out just fine

I get that it could have been worse but the D and ST carried Alex for the better part of 4 years.
Purely looking at results Reid is nowhere close to the top 5 HCs in the league. He is getting a pass based on something that happened 13 years ago. My gut says that this team will plateau in the playoffs even with Mahomes and the next HC will finally take us over the hump. If Reid hasn't won a SB in almost two decades chances are that he is not going to win one ever.

Just a question. If we hadn't drafted PMII, would we still be wanting to bench Smith? How dire would our situation be if we didn't have PMII to pin our hopes and dreams on?
