I know I own a ton of Crudups stuff, a so so guitarists but love his vocals. Apparently so did Elvis.

I will find what you are talking about, as of right now...?

Here we go.

Sure, what's not to like? But, not a huge Rod Stewart fan, did like him better while with Jeff Beck.

Where are you getting mostly white people support the blues? That just isn't true.

Where did The Rolling Stones get that name? A 1951 Muddy Waters tune.

Pink Floyd....blues cats Pink Anderson and Floyd Council

Canned Heat...got that name from an old Tommy "Sold My Soul at them crossroads" Johnson.

Hank Williams was taught the guitar by a black neighbor.

Elvis's very first record was a cover of blues cat Big Boy Crydup's "That's Alright Mama".

And it goes on and on and on and.............

Larry Davis

That's alright Mama by Elvis was Big Mama Thorton's.

I don't blame you for ignoring the points made.

There is a very thin line between the blues, country, bluegrass and rock.

Coming from people of all colors and walks of life... You diminish that and all collaborations by playing some bs superiority game.

Huh?

Big Mama Thornton recorded "Hound Dog" which Elvis also covered. Big Boy Crudup did "That's Alright Mama".

So..ignoring?

Where you getting....coming from people of all colors and walks of life from? There are no prewar blues recorded by Asian, Mexicans, The Middle East, Europe etc.

Them blues came from Africa.

Yeah. I find her annoying much of the time. Somewhere along the way a bunch of older people went all goofy convincing her that mimicking boomer music was cool and she ran with it.

I have learned from country music morning at my gym that all modern country songs sung by men must contain 4 out of 5 of the following:
  1. whiskey or ice cold beer
  2. pretty girl in red dress or cutoffs
  3. pickup truck (no substitutions)
  4. guns
  5. trashing "Calllliforrrrrniuhhhhh" in a nasally sneering voice

Therefore no, it is not country.

Women are allowed to sing about other topics, but usually stick to wanting to kill some guy who broke their heart and stuff their mama taught them.

Country music fans seem perfectly happy listening to the exact same formula forever.

They're like the opposite of teenagers.
