Let's Rank Our Top 3 Regular Season Games

Hey, ya'll. I'm proctoring students taking tests remotely today and it's about as exhilarating as it sounds. During my lunch break I saw a tweet from Chiefs posting the "Sights and Sounds" from the Chiefs win against the Vikings this year. When I watched this, I realized I forgot just how good of a game this was. Not only that, we were starting Matt Moore, expectations before the game were low, and little did we know, but the game would be the difference between a first round bye and a WC matchup against the Titans (Likely making our road Titans, @Patriots, @Ravens).

This game was stellar. Matt Moore was ****ing nails and his two deepballs to Tyreek were beyond anything we could have expected from back-up QB (and a high school coach at the beginning of the season). Damien Williams pulled off his most impressive run in a Chiefs uniform (an 85 yard run where he put a disgusting juke on a Vikings defender to hit paydirt), though, it's mostly remembered for Tyreek catching him like an Olympian. That run completely shifted the momentum in the game. The Chiefs D also came up with two critical 4th quarter stops (a prelude to the SB) and Buttkicker hit a 54 yarder like Stoyo once did in what was considered one of the best Chiefs wins of all time (before Mahomes) and hit a game winning 44 yarder at the end. Watching this again made me realize that I'd forgotten some of our amazing regular season wins this year and made me want to re-evaluate them.

So... what are your top 3 regular season wins this year (I included the losses in the poll. As some argue losing to the Titans was one of the best things we could have done this year because otherwise, Seattle claims Suggs over us and we may not win the SB without him).

Mine:

3. Week 14 @Patriots 23-16 W (God, did it feel good to finally get that off our backs)
Spoiler!

2. Week 9 Vikings 26-23 W (I just can't put a game without Mahomes as the top regular season game - with that said, Matt Moore is an unsung hero of the season)
Spoiler!

1. Week 3 Ravens 33-28 W (This win cemented the Chiefs as the top team in the AFC and puts Mahomes, Reid and the Chiefs as the presumptive AFC favorites over Lamar, Harbaugh and Baltimore imho).
Spoiler!

Damn. This makes me think a Rain Man bracket is necessary with the top vote getters in this thread getting seeded accordingly.

Interestingly, the wins @ Lions and @ Chargers are the lowest vote getters for victories, they even have fewer votes than our loss @ Tenn. The thing with both of those victories is they had all the staples of a pre-Mahomes Andy Reid loss. The offense never found its footing against an inferior team, let their opponent hang around the whole game, and in years past, this had led to some gut wrenching losses (similar to the Tenn game this year). It's interesting those wins are getting such a low number of votes with how close they ended up being (we did play poorly in major stretches in each game).

In part, it may depend on how people are defining "top games". Were they the most important wins? The most satisfying? The most fun to watch?

Some games I just don't remember very well, hence my question. I don't really remember the game flow in some of the games, though I could probably be prompted easily.

The Jaguars game was fun because it was like watching the good guys beat up a bully. I thought I'd vote for that, but it didn't quite make the cut.

The first Raiders game was fun with the 28 point second quarter that proved that the offense could score via carpet bombing, but the rest of the game wasn't ideal. I voted for it, though, because it was proof of concept that this team can come back from anything.

I don't remember the flow of the Ravens game.

I came away from the Detroit game not feeling very good, because they didn't bolster my confidence going forward. We very nearly lost, so the win was more relief than anything.

I'm not going to vote for a loss, so strike all of those.

No way I vote for the @Denver game. Kneecap. I did not feel good after that win.

The Vikings game was huge, and it showed that the game is a team sport. I think it was a very important win. But I didn't vote for it because it wasn't quite as entertaining to watch without Mahomes and with all of the o-line injuries. Great game, though.

I don't remember the flow of the @San Diangeles game.

The Raiders blowout was fun because it was a blowout, but I don't remember much about the flow.

I remember the patriots game because it a stressful game. I didn't want a loss to start any jinxes or anything. The Breeland play at the end was artistic, but that game was more about vindication than fun.

I remember the snow game against Denver, and that was great because it was a dismantling AND it proved that Patrick Mahomes II is impervious to weather, which has big postseason implications. I voted for that one.

The Bears game was a nice beatdown and I liked the Bears fans showing up with Mahomes jerseys. But it didn't quite make the cut.

The final Chargers game was great mostly because of how it went down with the Dolphins game. The Chiefs were a machine by that point, so our game wasn't that memorable, but the dual announcing at the end was epic, and the foreshadowing of Sorensen's big play greatness to finish off Rivers was grin-inducing. I voted for this one.

I picked: Vikings win. Turned our season around. Winning without Mahomes was big. Pats on the road. Because I was there. So glorious to see all those arrogant Pats fans leave Gillette Stadium in disbelief. Chargers at Arrowhead: Because of the ending and the Fins beating the Pats. Ultimate was winning the Lamar Hunt Trophy at Arrowhead, but that's not regular season. Nothing will EVER top that game.

Rain Man I now want to do a bracket and a voting tourney for these games where we establish criteria and positive and negatives for both teams in the match-up.

Do it! I'd like to see debates on game versus game.
