****!!!!!!!!! I just lost my job
I just got blindsided folks. Manager and some HR lady pull me into a chat room and inform me they are letting me going due to company restructuring I didn't see this coming at all I'm devastated and don't know what the **** to do.

It's because of competition for the role. Sportsbooks/gambling are hard to get into because the market's inundated with people who are interested in those subjects + have the technical background for the job.

I initially was rejected for the first role I applied to after the screen, before advancing for another role. I had to submit a case study after a screen and from there was selected for another interview in which I didn't present the case study. Then I got rejected for the final round.

Thankfully, other interviews haven't been that much a pain in the ass, but still not fun.

When I got laid off during covid over 3 years ago, I had an interview with a certain city in the Northland to do IT for them.

Interview with a bunch of city figures went well and they sent me a link for an assessment. Okay fine.

I open it up and it was like 50-75 rando questions. Like I would of understood if they were gauging if I knew the basics of the OSI model or some shit but they were asking me the pin count for CPU's and sticks of ram. It was ****ing stupid.

Did 5 questions and told them thanks but no ****ing thanks. A great decision.

**** dude I wish the case study I got was binary shit like that.

I had to interpret data and display my interpretation and insights. Data file was ****ing too big to open in Excel that I had to use R to manipulate and open the file.

I do Liveops part-time for extra money. I get paid 500.00 bucks a week for about 10 to 15 hours of work a week. I use this money to buy stuff I do not want to spend my main income on. Such as motorcycle parts or extras to make my ride more comfy. I also save that money in order to put large down payments on motorcycles or cars.
