Pretty cool stuff. It's a top secret counter measure that acts like a force field. As long as their are Islamists, the defense industry will be booming (pun intended) looking for inventions like this.

That is awesome. The graphics seem misleading as it doesn't really seem to be a force field per say, but it still looks very cool. This would be a HUGE psychological advantage as well as a physical advantage.

Its bogus. The Iranians are claiming missiles that "duck" radar and go undetected through water at 224 mph and yet undetectable. They are both posturing.

I had previously seen some technology that shot some stuff out in the direction of things being shot at the tank, but this looks a lot more advanced. Not exactly a force field, but anything to help out troops is a good thing.

Of course Iran having a high speed torpedo didn't help easy my worries at all.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have a torpedo that can go that fast. The Soviets developed one back in the 1960s, IIRC. Rocket-propelled and it produces a bunch of bubbles near the nose to overcome water resistance, or something.

That could make sense, especially since they got their nuke technology from the Soviets as well, at least I think they did...

I think they should invent a giant "bug zapper" that would put the bzzzzzzzzzzzzzt to any incoming projectiles.

It'd work pretty good for boarder security too!

I'm only guessing, but this looks like a possible scaled down application of the chemical laser that was developed by the Israelis only a few years back. All part of the "Star Wars" technology efforts. The original chemical laser was developed as a defensive weapon to disable missiles that enter Israeli air space.

Next level in the counter to this counter: shoulder-fired kinetic weapons (i.e. RPS, or rocket-propelled sabot)
