It appears LT is gonna sit awhile...

Read the latest installement in LaDainian Tomlinson's diary. He's pissed...and it looks as if he and the Chargers are farther apart in negotiations than ever. Oh well...Shaun Springs out in our week two Seattle game, and LT potentially a long holdout bodes well for the Chiefs.

LT's article is at:

With Condon being his agent, we may not even see him play the entire year. :D

It's really too bad, in a way. There seems to be a history of top RBs who hold out getting injured early, and I'd really like to see if the guy is as good as he was drafted, regardless of the fact that we'll have to play him yearly. The last thing I want to see is a serious injury in September.

Condom is also the agent for the NFL Officials who can't seem to agree to anything either. He should be ban from representing any NFL player or the officials. What an ***!

I read an article on the Chargers ESPN site where Butler (GM) said he would be willing to talk trade for a running back since LT won't sign. Maybe we should try and trade Moreau for a pick in next years draft? Maybe we could work a major deal and end up with LT on our roster? Maybe yes to the first question but I know the second is a pipe dream.

Pure posturing on the part of the team. If he wasn't worth the money, they shouldn't have drafted him.

In a sense this is not good for KC, because if SD attains #2 pick overall and if John Henderson slips the AFC West is screwed.

It appears there's a complete lack of common ground in contract negotiations these days...simply because
a) Teams want to lowball any player...even a potential superstar like LT.
b) Agents are asking for the moon, even though their clients have never taken a snap in the NFL
and c) These players sit there like morons, surrendering their power to agents, rather than empowering themselves with the knowledge that the money will come if they really are as good as
where they were drafted.

A vicious cycle of idiotic and greedy behavior.
