Cowher / KC?
Why has there been no real speculation outside of KC that Cowher may return to the Chiefs?

I see a LOT of speculation on this board, but all the chatter has been on other teams...

Are we really THAT far out in our hope?

KC really doesn't exist to the rest of the Media. barely a mention when King Carl was fired by STL media.

you would think they would do their homework and know he (like Herm) once coached under Marty..... but that was 20 years ago....

I'm not putting a lot of merit in the "I want to be closer to my family" comments - I'm sure he means it and would love to do it, but in the end... he will go where he thinks he can get the best gig, if he decides to return in 2009.

KC still has a coach... so, the media isn't talking much about it and there are what, 10 other real openings to discuss and speculate on rightnow.

Yep. Until Herm is fired, we won't be seriously talked about in any coaching decisions. I mean, we're not even interviewing coaches at this point, so why WOULD we be in the conversation?
