Philip Rivers is a dead man. Dead man walking. Get it out of your system now, Raider Dick.

And goatboy says he likes girls so...?
He would still go down on LJ in nanosecond and Seymore will still be looking for a way to bail at the end of the season. it's called lying

"I'm excited.... :sob!: ...to be a... :mumble mumble "f**king Belichick!": ... Raider."
What else is he gonna say? I guess he realized the futility of pouting over getting sent to a loser. This is the best-case scenario for him. If he'd remained a Patriot, this was probably his last season. Either he'd be a FA, or, at worst, he'd get Franchised for an enormous sum. Now he's a Raider. Either he'll be a FA, or, at worst, he'll get Franchised for an enormous sum. He's eventually getting a big-ass contract, from SOMEONE. I guess the family's moving back to SC and he's going to CA solo. |

It's like trying to put a band-aid on a .44 magnum shot to the chest. It may look good for a few seconds, but you are still going to bleed out.

Oh, and for the record... Seymour WILL play well for them. He WILL help them. But, that team sucks so bad, it won't make much of a difference. Instead of winning 2 games they might win 3, maybe 4.

Happy that the raiders lost their #1 pick for an aging veteran.
Unhappy that the Pats pick up yet another #1 pick to push them further into superbowl contention for the upcoming years. |

Can Seymore pass protect, drop back and throw the ball, then run and catch his own pass too?....
Richard will have as big of an impact on the win/loss ratio as Jared Allen did in KC. Congrats on going from a 3-4 win season to a 4-5 win season. |

Seymour had 3.7 million reasons for reporting. He came to realize that. He also came to realize that he would never escape Oakland by holding out. So, he has NO leverage. Best thing he can do is pretend to be excited about it, turn in a decent year and hope not to be franchised at the end of the year.
He has to pretend to be a team player so that he is not given the knock of being another "me first" guy. If he is not franchised, he is *free* of that Hell hole in Oakland and can go on to have a few more years of high compensation from a franchise he likes. Maybe he goes back to the Pats in a year. Regardless, Oakland is burned. They will have to vastly overpay him to get him to stay, franchise tag him each year, or be prepared to lose a first round pick for one year's play for a team that has no hope of competing this year. Lose - Lose for Oakland. Lose for one year for Seymour, if he is lucky. |
