The Arizona Republic reports that the Cardinals will not apply the franchise tag to LB Karlos Dansby for the third consecutive year.

The Cardinals will let Dansby hit the open market while "monitoring" the situation. Realistically, his Arizona days are over. As one of the premier names in an ultra-shallow unrestricted free agent market, Dansby is a lock to land a mega-contract. The Pro-Bowl caliber linebacker is seeking $30M in guarantees, with the Giants, Dolphins, Redskins, and Chargers tops on his list of potential landing spots. Feb. 19 - 7:56 am et

Wouldnt it be cool if we overpaid for Dansby and Peppers, traded a second for Wilfork and drafted Berry?

That could be a damn good defense and we would have the rest of the draft picks for the offense to also vastly improve.

Sean Jones at SS...he is a FA and played for Crennel in Cleveland. Ive always liked him.

I would love it if we used this uncapped section of history to improve our talent. This offseason could be a homerun if we wanted to spend the $$$ to do so.

I agree...I'd love for the Chiefs to pick up Jones as well. He's kind of an under the rader talented player in my opinion. Would come in and start for us right away at Safety and be a big upgrade too in my opinion. That is assuming of course the Chiefs pass rush improves also...I mean after all safeties and corners are only as good as what their pass rush provides generally. Chiefs got some work to do and if done correctly could be a fun offseason.
