Tecmo Superbowl. Your favorite team to use?

What was/is your favorite team to use on Tecmo Superbowl? Mine? The Houston Oilers, simply because their offense is unstoppable. What about yours?

I would take random teams and try to win games solely on defense special teams. No offensive plays allowed. Actually made some games a bit tough.

2 things I remember from Tecmo Bowl:

Bo Jackson was unstoppable.

If you drop back all the way and wait until your WR are in the end zone, you will throw a perfect 100-yard td bomb.

Yep, the original Tecmo Bowl, very true. As memory serves, if you played a real person opponent, and they picked the same play on defense as you did on offense, offense is toast.... except for the Raiders. If you did the ole running back scrambling bit, with Bo, you could outlast the raging blitz.

Also, on original Tecmo, I can remember winning the Super Bowl with every team except 1. I just cant remember for sure which team that was. Im thinking Colts, not sure.

Philly.

I could score over 100 a few games and get over 100 sacks with their top middle linebacker every year.

I played as every other team plenty, but Philly was the deadliest IMO.

49ers and Chiefs

If Jerry Rice had 'excellent' health, you could put him in at RB and just wreck shit. He was obscenely fast. Rathman was always good for a power rush or two, Brent Jones was great over the middle.

As the Chiefs, there was the infamous 'bitch move' or lurch. I wouldn't ever play as them against another person, but if I was playing a season I'd use the Chiefs because Saleaumua could dive right off the snap, split the gap between the C and the G and sack the QB before he got into his drop back. It wouldn't work against the Eagles and a couple of other teams because the QB speed was good enough to get backwards in time but in 9 games out of 10, Sally was good for 10-12 sacks in a game. (Michael Carter was just a little too slow for the 49ers so the bitch move didn't work well with them; you just flew around with Haley).

By the end of the season the computer AI would get damn tough and in the playoffs you'd be trying to win games 13-7 (after curbstomping teams 70-0 in week 1).

Main reason I used them, dude is ridiculous...almost unstoppable.

Buffalo would always give me fits in that game, like every time I played them it'd be close...weird.
