Slick Willy pardons Rostencrookski

I can smell this one all the way from Washington. Clinton with no advance notice for obvious reasons, pardoned the odious Dan Rostenkowski, the former Illinois U.S. Representative and Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee who was convicted of, among other things, misusing government funds and ghost payrolling, and spent 15 months in prison after pleading guilty. Apparently, this was in deference to Rostencrookski's 40 years of public service. I personally wonder what he got away with during decades of criminal abuse of our country.

Once again, Chicago/Illinois/Democratic politics stink it up on a national level. I'd really be disgusted if I wasn't so used to it.

I hope GW has the White House thoroughly disinfected before he moves in. Yech.
