The Raiders interview....WHO?

Raiders | Team interviews Shoop
Wed, 25 Jan 2006 07:15:14 -0800
Updating previous reports, the Chicago Tribune reports the Oakland Raiders interviewed quarterback coach John Shoop for their head coaching vacancy last week. "It's a great organization and I really enjoy working for Mr. Davis and the Raiders," Shoop said Tuesday, Jan. 24, in Mobile for workouts leading up to the Senior Bowl. "I feel great about (the interview) and about working for the Raiders in whatever role."

Has anyone with any credentials or HC worthyness even considered them or been considered by them? I hear the rotoruter man is flying in tomarrow followed by the Maytag repairman on Friday.

looks like he is/was a very popular guy.

but there are only 2 kinds of coaches... those who have been fired and those who are going to be fired.....

with the exception of DV of course..

How long do you think he had to unceal his lips from Al Davis's buttocks to utter that clincher? Sounds like he'll get the job, after that gem.

He ran that "razzle dazzle" offense that beat Gunther a few years back... right?

The Raiders could be just buying time until they can get Pittsburgh's OC.

I certainly didn't say that. Anytime you've got a guy like Mike Shanahan as your coach you're going to be competitive every year.

Tough to argue that....except I think we waxed that ass pretty good and uh so did the steelas. I realize they made the championship game, but hard to say that wasnt smoke and mirrors in part based on those 2 games.

They played pretty damned good all year, except the first game. As usual the kick our ass in Mile High and we squeeze one out at Arrowhead.
