Well, it looks like I got my wish. 34-3 at this point, and Oregon State has p!ssed away about 28 additional points with sloppy play and dumb penalties. What an a$$-whuppin.
My boss, a ND grad, will NOT be a good mood tomorrow... Make that 41-3, the Beavs just scored again... Wow [This message has been edited by frazod (edited 01-01-2001).] |

Too bad that won't happen. I've always thought they should have a playoff system in college football. The BCS system blows.

The Bowls, despite all of the tradition and lore that go with them are way too biased as to the teams they invite and should be phased out in my opinion. The Fiesta Bowl for example took Notre Dame who had a decent record but was not convincing against really tough competition. Because of the Notre Dame name the Fiesta bowl obviously would take them to generate better revenue than if they invited someone like K-State or Oregon with a similar record. I have a feeling that K-State or Oregon would play OSU a little closer than this joke of a bowl game.
I say either institute a play off system and do away with bowls, or atleast play the different play off rounds as these bowl games regardless of the team, or just go back to the old way of letting sports writers vote on the national champion. |

Maybe I'm just a complete homer, but, can anyone explain to me why the Huskies wont be considered as the National Champs?
We beat Miami 10-1 (who beat FSU) We beat Oregon State 11-1 which proved it is a legit team by spanking Notre Dame.... We are 11-1 just like everyone else! I know this is a KC Chiefs board, so this will be my last post on the subject, but, does anybody else think the Huskies should be considered? Why wouldn't you post about the Huskies, Joe? I think they are deserving of consideration. They beat the best the Big Ten had to offer and that's nothing to sneeze at....
