Favorite "adult beverages"?

What's people's "poison" of choice?

I'm known to...partake in both the hard stuff and the beer, from time-to-time (i.e. I don't drink that often, but I do enjoy it) although I'm more of a beer sort of guy (as my gut demonstrates...). I like beers from all over the world, light to pale to dark and beyond, but I'll drink the weak American stuff if it's all that's available. I have a particular affinity for Belgian beers.

As for the liquor, I'll drink just about anything straight if I'm in the mood for that, but I like the cocktails, as well. Top shelf Long Island Iced Teas are my favorite, but I'm known to taste a few White Russians and (real, not TGIF) Mudslides. Bascially I like anything with Irish Cream and/or Kahlua...

Please feel free to pass on recipes and other advice on mixology, I'm always open to trying new things. Just a couple of months ago I spent a few days experimenting with Root Beer drinks and found some good stuff, much to my surprise.
