I see it all the time, "the motor is making noises....well lets replace the motor then". Some technicians have absolutely no clue how to analyze a problem. You said said that twice no error codes popped up, as if it was different the second time. What did you mean?

![]() But seriously, it seems logical that there is a fault somewhere, both ECUs are seeing it and the mechanic(s) are retarted.

We run into customers all the time who have the same experiences with Dealerships. Dealerships (99%) don't rebuild/repair/overhaul transmissions, when you have a problem they will tell you that you need a reman and they will sell you a reman, because all their techs do is pull and install, they don't fix them, they replace them. Back to the main question, you said twice that no error codes popped up, why did they replace the computer then, what was their reasoning? We replace computers all the time, especially in the Chryslers, now the Mazdas we have replaced computers on but not as many. Usually when you replace a computer it's because of a code that's kicked up, then you spend a little time to verify that it is the computer, and replace the computer, then you re-learn the computer and it's good to go. Some models make you go back to the Dealer because there are some models that have specific computers to Flash them and it's for the Dealer to get you back to them in the end. |
