Priest Watch: Its been done before

Kimble Anders came back at age 34 after (what was believed to be) a career ending achilles tendon injury after torching Denver for 145 yards in '99. After sitting out all of 1999, he came back in 2000 at age 34 to run for 331 yards on 76 carries for a sterling 4.4 average YPC. Even with a rebuilt foot, Anders ripped off a 69 yard run in 2000.

If Priest suceeds in his comeback, he's in good company with one of my all-time favorite Chiefs, Kimble Anders.

Not sure...

I think he also had a big run against the Donx in 1999 in the game he got hurt. I think his big run in 2000 was against the "Greatest Show on Turf" Rams in the 54-34 wallopping of the reigning SB champs, one of Gunther Cunningham's signal achievements.

Pounding the Martzyball Rams is one of my my fondest Chiefs memories. Kimble's "old man recovering from career ending injury" 69 yard-run is a powerful memory.

I believe that was the game they showed Marshall Faulk blowing chunks on the sideline.

It was also the game that started the problems with warner's hand, that eventually got bad enough to put him on the bench 2 years later.

While warner was league MVP in 2001, he first broke his hand at arrowhead, which put Trent in the lineup for a number of games. Warner recovered, but subsequently broke the same hand a couple of other times.

he should have scored on that run against the Rams (69 yarder). He wasn't used to burning people like that so he looked over his shoulder and stumbled enough to get caught from behind. That's still one of my favorite games EVER. The Rams were undefeated when they came in here, coming off their SuperBowl. Marshall Faulk had the flu and threw up on the field. Kurt Warner threw a pick at the beginning to Hasty (perfect coverage) that led to our first score. Jason Belser blocked a punt for a TD. Even Warren Moon got in on the action and tossed a TD pass (I believe it was his last as a pro) to Kevin Lockett.

One of my favorite Chiefs memories was on a MNF football game against the Raiders I think...not sure on that. But We were down in the 4th quarter and were driving the field trying to score that TD to win the game and in the last seconds Elvis Grbac threw a TD pass to Andre Rison for the win. I was jumping up and down and even did a back flip (which I've never done before). Even though it was freaking Elvis that still is a great memory for me

The BEST is punking Houston in the playoff game. I don't think anyone thought the Chiefs would win that.

Also, 2 great MNF games. The Bills in Arrowhead. 33-6. I think.

Montana magical comeback in Pile High in '94. Great games.
