Music trends change every month. Who can keep up? I used to be very particular about everything I listened to, now, I just enjoy it all. I don't care about trends or MTV or radio. Although, despite their talent my brother has me burned out on Radiohead. I'll take a little Clapton/CSN&Y/Eagles anyday though.

Admits to singing along to the oldies more than just once in awhile. |

I'll stick with...
Judas Priest, KISS, Accept, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Dokken, Raven, Black N' Blue, Rainbow, Impelliteri, Van Halen (old) and Stryper. Took my (then) 10 year old to see N'Sync in concert in New Orleans BUT, he had to go see KISS with me in Lafayette. When KISS came out and the pyros went off, he was instantly sold. ~ A night I'll/he'll never forget.

I generally have no idea about the teenie-boy or teenie-girl bands. The only way I find out who they are is through Saturday Night Live. And that is a HUGE personal gripe of mine. Why, at 12:45 at night on SNL do I have to be subjected to teenie bands? Aren't all the 13 year olds already in bed and sleeping? Couldn't find any decent musician to play?

Bob Dole appreciates classic Rock and has a collectection dating back to the 70's. Bob Dole also likes to find the new stuff before it hits the radio (or even the record labels).
Been enjoying Puddle of Mudd, Adema, Breaking Point, Drowning Pool, Big Wreck, 40 Below Summer, blah blah blah lately. Cannot manage to get into Slipknot, however. For you classic rock guys...Ian Hunter's released another CD in April. (But Bob Dole doesn't much care for it so far.) |
