Life Things to do in Nashville?

Will be going to Nashville, Tennessee for a week in middle of Dec. I am looking for things to do with the wife. What are the hot spots to check out? What are the areas to avoid spending $ on?

I'm open to some suggestions.

Also, if there are any CP members in the general area, I may have a little time in my schedule to meet. I know Roy is in Kentucky, if I am not mistaken, but if ya'll not that far off from Nashville?

They have a bar and club area. First and second streets. Can't think of the street that intersects them.

3rd and Lindsley for great live music. Bonus if you go on a Wednesday and the Wooten Brothers are performing.

Bars are on Printer's Alley. Don't stay out there too late, or it starts smelling like Bourbon Street. Just walking around downtown is fun.

If you don't like country music, there's not a *ton* to do that's any different from KC.

Go see the Parthenon, Centennial Park and Bicentennial Park.

If you're into Tapas, there's a place just off Music Row called The Boundry...haven't been there in a while but it was excellent a few years ago..

Right on the River in downtown...lots of bars, live music, BBQ(not as good as KC, but it smells great walking around). The whole Nashville area is full of live entertainment, so check with your hotel or whomever you are staying with. You can also catch a Preds NHL game. The arena is downtown so you can eat/drink before and after the game.

I have always found plenty to do on my business trips to Nashville.

If you and the wife want to go for a great dinner that isn't cheap, but worth it go to The Palm. It is a steakhouse originally from NY, and there are only 3 or 4 in the US. A good time and a great meal.

I like the Stockyard much better. IMO, they have better steaks than any place I've ever eaten in KC/the world.

Plus, it's not terribly expensive. About the same price as Hereford House.

There are alot of wanna be female singers in that town that are hot as hell. Leave your wife at the hotel, put your best suit on, and head to a few of the clubs telling the ladies you are a record exec. Have fun and post pics!
