Is it a sign I'm getting old?

At the game today, there were some yahoo screaming at the top of their lungs at Bowe during the brief moment of silence for Henry before the game. Normally, I don't mind screaming fans, but I just found it disrespectful. I turned around and shot them a look, and didn't think any more of it. After the National Anthem, one of the dudes comes down, taps me on the shoulder and told me I'd better get used to them being loud and wound up. Kinda irked me.

After the half is when all of the drunks decide to come down and take empty seats. Some guy, drunk as piss, says some form of the word "****" every other word. Fine, a little annoying, but it's not like I hadn't been hearing from everyone around us how much we suck (thanks, like I didn't already know that). I could understand his frustration. Then someone drops a pass. Off comes the hat for him to wave around, which hits my in the back and the back of the head several times. Grrr. Then, another dropped pass. More waving of the hat, only he hits harder. I turn around and say, "Do you ****ING think you could ****ING hit me a few more ****ING times with our ****ING hat?"

He did apologize.

I find myself not enjoying the game as much, but it's more due to the fans surrounding me than it is the actual game, if you can imagine fans being worse.

Am I just becoming an old nag?

Anyone who can't keep their mouth shut for a "moment of silence" is a disrespectful jackass. It's only a moment... .

The rest sucks too... but if the team was better, and they had something positive to say... it probably wouldn't be as bad.

I've been known to get pretty lit up at football games... I don't think I've ever been "that guy" though. Being drunk is no excuse. If you're a douche sober, you'll be more of a douche drunk. If you're not, you wont.

Cool that he apologized though... there're a LOT of guys who wouldn't.

Eh, they were probably idiots who bought tix for $5 or got them for free that don't often, if ever, go to games, and they don't know how to act. Back when I used to go to Nebraska games regularly, I noticed a difference in the behavior of fans during conference games and the cupcake non-con games, there were far more annoying douchebags at the non-cons because a lot of the STHs didn't go to those games.

If I could've worked up a nice 5 second rip for the moment of silence for that worthless thug, I'd have let it go as loud and long as I could have. I'd have even tolerated a little bit of shart.

The fact that the NFL had a moment of silence for a repeat criminal who essentially killed himself while engaging in an act of domestic violence is laughable.

Yeah, I shouldn't complain too much about him. He did continue to say "catch the ball" instead of "catch the ****ing ball" over and over and over and over. Reminded me of watching a game on tv where the annoncers won't shut up about the same damn thing. Him reminding me of that actually made me smile.

Back when I had season tickets in the 90s, some drunk fool pissed on a woman sitting in front of him and then she threw her beer at him, and he spiked his off her head. Be thankful a hat was all you had to contend with!

If some drunk idiot pissed on me, you'd have to call security. Maybe I'm just becoming more violent in my old age. I felt like kicking some female donkey fan's ass on the way out of the stadium a few weeks ago.

We're all getting older, but I got the same vibe out there. There seemed to be an overabundance of morons today. Maybe it has something to do with a 1-7 home record and too much Christmas "cheer." Sadly, it seemed like an apt home field ending to this dreadful season.
