I played against Fujita in HS, he played for Oxnard iirc I think he was one class below me. A few weeks later Ronney Jenkins broke the national HS single game rushing record for Port Hueneme with like 619 yards!...and I thought he broke one off in us when he about had 200 or so a couple weeks previous, I was a team captain for that game....good memories back then, but not from that day Jenkins thrashed us. He owned me in that game, it was embarrassing. Jenkins played in the NFL for a couple years mainly as a returner, but was never really special.

I thought DJ was drafted for his position and that Parcells traded a 5th for him because we no longer had a starter spot for him and that Bell was already here, but it may be a little fuzzy and I may be wrong.

Crazy that one of the crucial plays in a game that year that we lost by a missed FG was a sack before halftime by Scott that forced the fumble that turned our fortunes in that game. We ended up missing the playoffs by one game and Pittsburg won the superbowl with the 6th playoff spot. We should have signed Ty Law before 05, not 06...05 could have been really special.
