***OFFICIAL Walterfootball.com Mock Draft Thread***

He updates his mock draft like once a week.....so I'll just post them when I see them.

http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2011.php

Quote:
#23 - Kansas City Chiefs: Jonathan Baldwin, WR, Pittsburgh

A list of players who have lined up across from Dwayne Bowe this season: Chris Chambers, Terrance Copper and Verran Tucker. Bleh.

Jonathan Baldwin has struggled this year amid quarterbacking issues, but he's still a physical freak at 6-5, 230.
Quote:
#54 - Kansas City Chiefs: Jabaal Sheard, DE/OLB, Pittsburgh

The Chiefs have only one reliable pass-rusher. Adding a solid complement across from Tamba Hali would take Kansas City's defense to the next level.
Quote:
#87 - Kansas City Chiefs: Christian Ballard, DE/DT, Iowa

The Chiefs could use some help up front; they've struggled against the run lately after a great start to the season in that department.

I'd rather see it go like this.

#23 - Jonathan Baldwin, WR, Pittsburgh
#54 - Kris O'Dowd, OC, USC
#87 - Casey Matthews, ILB, Oregon

Baldwin in the 1st would be great! Unless there's nothing on the board I'd much rather have an OLB or NT with that #2 than a C, but you draft the board of course, not the position.

I'm with Mecca, though. Baldwin's a Top 10 pick.

Right now, without putting a whole lot of thought into it in the early 20's I think I'd be okay with:

WR - Baldwin, Blackmon, or even Greg Little. (Yes, I realize the latter two don't seem to fit the profile).

OT - Carimi or Ziemba.

LB - Miller, Houston or maybe Greg Jones.

#22. Kansas City Chiefs: Julio Jones, WR, Alabama
A list of players who have lined up across from Dwayne Bowe this season: Chris Chambers, Terrance Copper and Verran Tucker. Bleh.

Julio Jones' downfall is the inconsistency with his hands, but he's an elite talent otherwise. He was great in the Auburn game, and has lifted his stock after a slow start. The fact that he's playing hurt only helps, as teams will love his toughness.

#56. Kansas City Chiefs: Jabaal Sheard, DE/OLB, Pittsburgh
The Chiefs have only one reliable pass-rusher. Adding a solid complement across from Tamba Hali would take Kansas City's defense to the next level.

#87. Kansas City Chiefs: Sione Fua, NT, Stanford
The Chiefs need some help up front; they've struggled against the run lately after a great start to the season in that department.

#118. Kansas City Chiefs: Kelvin Sheppard, ILB, LSU
The Chiefs should find an upgrade over Jovan Belcher. Kelvin Sheppard is one of the top players available.

I have not seen either play a ton, but from what I have seen I think I like Baldwin more than Jones. Call me crazy if you like, but Baldwin seems to be the more athletic of the two who plays the ball better when in the air.

Not bad of a mock. I like Julio Jones alot. I think he will be a nice compliment to Bowe. Not the true speedster, but with Cassel, we don't really need one.

I would have took Jerell Powe in the second if it fell like this. Then in the 3rd, it sucks that Kris O'Dowd was snatched by the Raiders a few picks before. That would have been a kick ass first 3 rounds - Jones, Powe, O'Dowd.

I really like Kelvin Sheppard in the 4th. He would give us a nice upgrade over Belcher, who in turn would give us great depth.

I think the Chief's will look to sign WR"s in FA. There could be very good value in the low 20's for a OLB/ILB or OL. Jones of Michigan St is very intriguing as he's very productive and fits the Pioli criteria.

I hope to hell we dont draft Jones. If the Chiefs are looking to add that one threat to lineup opposite of Bowe then why the hell would they draft a questionable hands receiver in the first round?

#21. Kansas City Chiefs: Justin Houston, DE/OLB, Georgia The Chiefs have only one reliable pass-rusher. Adding a solid complement across from Tamba Hali would take Kansas City's defense to the next level.

Justin Houston has really opened up some eyes with 19.5 TFL and 11 sacks as a junior this season. He has soared into top-25 consideration.

Pick change; previously Julio Jones, WR

#55. Kansas City Chiefs: Leonard Hankerson, WR, Miami A list of players who have lined up across from Dwayne Bowe this season: Chris Chambers, Terrance Copper and Verran Tucker. Bleh.

Pick change; previously Jabaal Sheard, DE/OLB

#86. Kansas City Chiefs: Sione Fua, NT, Stanford The Chiefs need some help up front; they struggled against the run late in the year after a great start to the season in that department.

Pick change; previously Nate Irving, ILB

#117. Kansas City Chiefs: Danny Watkins, OT, Baylor The Chiefs have a massive void at the right tackle position that really needs to be addressed.

I actually really like the first three picks, don't know much about Danny Watkins though. I really love Justin Houston's game, Hankerson has been good in the games I have seen him in. Then if we can get Fua in the 3rd I'd be happy. MoHillbilly has a good scout video on fua, for a 2nd round pick I don't know if I'd want him.

I don't think we'd take Houston, but Hankerson in the second would be a damned nice selection.

I wouldn't be upset with Houston or Von Miller in the first, I like the Hankerson pick also.
