Richards is too high.

As for personal favorites, Steve Howe has always made these lists. Why no more? His playing has declined, but so has Hendrix's. Should be on body of work. Howe in his heyday was outstanding.

I also wish Steve Hackett were on the list (as he sometimes is). He was tapping long before Eddie Van Halen popularized it.

These lists are always a joke anyway, although this one seems to put very little emphasis on technical playing anyway. Steve Hackett should be somewhere on this list... he was using guitar tapping years before Van Halen got credit for it. And Mark Knopfler should be higher than 44.
