JMJ- What does everybody think
He's looked very good at times, but he's also made some mistakes. Haven't watched him exclusively though. He's so good in coverage that I can see him developing into a starter. Can somebody post his numbers on PFF?

I was impressed with the way the defense played yesterday....especially up the middle where all of our starters are missing

Those two guys are playing better than expected, sure, but there were some holes up the middle and some big runs. It's still a weakness.

JMJ looks like a guy that will have a long NFL career, but maybe not as a starter. A good depth guy that can fill in.

looked alright...defense in general had a nice dose of energy and attitude


even though we miss devito's run defense, it seems like our DL finally gets some push on passing downs

I'll be interested to see where they progress to by seasons end before labeling them (JMJ, Mauga) career backups

Mauga had some over-pursuit problems on some of the big runs that DJ would have stuffed. Hopefully he learns to recognize some run formations and stay in his run gaps.
