I'll Take Todd Haley for a hundred, Alex

Ok, I realize that most of you are not going to like this observation, but I'm going to make it anyway: We'd have been better off keeping Todd Haley as our coach than hiring Andy Reid. Yeah, I said it.

This whole franchise lacks.......balls. And not the over/under-inflated kind either. Haley was obviously learning on the job as to how to be a head coach, so he clearly made some mistakes. However, he knew that given the talent that Scooter had provided, the ONLY way for him to be competitive was to roll the dice and take some chances. Clearly, some of said chances were real boners, but the guy had cojones.

Plus, Haley had zero support from his boss who handcuffed him Mr Cassel, and didn't he have Tyler Palko as his backup QB? Those guys weren't pro-caliber QBs, heck they weren't much more than answers to trivia questions.

Haley also wasn't going to put up with pussy-footed players.....period. See DJ and Bowe about that.

Instead we now have Andy Reid who selected Alex "The Accountant" Smith as his "dynamic" QB. BTW, did you hear Smith after the game? Calmly assessed it as "only one game" and "there's a lot of football left" bullshit. And of course Reid took responsibility for the game, but Lord have mercy, what in the world does THAT mean? Is he gonna put himself in timeout?

I wanna see someone with some PASSION. Not some cool, calculating football "genius" who constantly outthinks himself. I wanted to hear "Totally and Completely Unacceptable", not this mealy-mouthed "My Responsibility" crap.

Anyway, like him or not, I claim we'd be MUCH further down the road to the Super Bowl with Todd Friggin' Haley as coach than we are with the ultra-conservative, don't push the ball down the field, Andy Reid. I can sure as hell guarantee you that Haley's choice for a QB wouldn't be some wanna-be accountant type. He'd have some gunslinger out there who shows some friggin' PASSION.

Frankly, I'm tired of all of the conservative mindlessness within this friggin' organization. Next thing you know, we're gonna change our colors to an electric beige.

Gimme a friggin' break....

100% agreed

If Haley was our coach last night with this roster, we are STILL raping the donks right now.

It would've been a ****ing rapeshow instead of a shitshow.

I miss the hat and beard.

A man's coach. ****ing Rockstar Haley.

DUDE GOT PRO BOWL SEASONS OUT OF CASSEL AND BOWE.

Don't forget...DJ was an underachieving disappointment until Haley got here and put a boot in his ass.

CHARLES LEARNED HOW TO HANG ONTO THE BALL WHILE HALEY WAS HERE, TOO.

He must've forgotten...

Were the Chiefs instructed to lose the game last night as you claim or not?

In hindsight, I think he exceeded his ceiling which is that of an OC.

If he can't do shit once the Rapist moves on then I'll admit being wrong on that.

But I agree with your point. KC should have hired Arians instead of Reid.

Todd Haley is the Ned Yost of the NFL.

His in-game decisions will be littered with absolute lunacy, but in what defies sabermaticians, drafturbators, and basic human logic, it can take a team to a championship.*

*As an OC

I don't know.

Jamaal Charles hasn't come right out and said that Alex told him to fumble, like Eli told Jennings to go down last week on SNF, if that's what's you're saying.

Yup.

Love him or hate him, Haley coaches to win.

I would love to see a Haley-Alex combo.

Haley could probably totally destroy any shred of confidence Alex has in himself as a football player for the rest of his life. And he damn sure wouldn't have given him $76 million.

Todd Haley won a game with Tyler Thigpen as his QB. THAT'S coaching.

Nonetheless, I think Haley's better suited to be HC than OC. PLUS, he has a PASSION for winning. And. It. Shows. Unlike Reid who's passion apparently tends toward the culinary perspective.

He is a good oc I think. I'll be surprised if he's ever given the keys to another franchise though. Your boss ****ing with you is no excuse to behave like a 5 year old, not when you're making that kind of money on that kind of stage. That's embarrassing and juvenile.

Even better, I'm wondering how Mr Haley and Mr Fisher would be getting along right now? Ohmygosh, even the thought makes me smile!
