Pretty damn high. I would feel alot better if they would just go ahead and pick up Mcardell.

The problem I have with picking up Mcardell is that they'd have to give something up to get him.

I'm convinced that with the guys on defense, this year is done. The only thing good that could happen now is that we turn it on to just make the playoffs in time for a buttspanking. No thanks. You either win it all or win nothing. Let the taking begin. I'm already starting up the bandwagon to either get the best MLB in college football or Rolle the CB from Miami.

I'm sorry if this angers fans but I just feel that I'm being realistic. This team is done.

If the Chiefs somehow end up in playoff contention, I assure you than at some point Gunther will have turned the corner on the defensive unit. No other way to get there.

I believe in Gunther, but I simply feel that nobody could work with this defense.

DL - No standout players
LB - All pretty much stink... I'd keep Fujita though.
CBs - average at best
Safties - Non factors.

Starting to agree with Petro on 810 that you don't spend your money on safties... Of al positions on defense, they're the least important IMO.
What does faith have to do with it? Either Gun turns the corner with these guys, or we're NOWHERE NEAR playoff contention. It's that simple.

Orange, but have managed to avoid a meltdown so far. If we lose to Houston, full meltdown will ensue.

Agreed. Houston isn't really that good..

If we get beat by Houston, at Arrowhead, most likely every Chiefs board will implode.

I don't think Houston will be a push over.

Things to watch out for against Houston:

Domanick Davis will almost certainly have about 140 yards rushing and at least 1 TD, and Andre Johnson will be the best WR we've gone up against so far this year. He could go off for a 100+ yard receving day.

The O better show up.

If we lose to Houston, then worry. But face it the Panthers did play in the Super Bowl last year, and almost won it. Also the Donkos were a playoff team. It wasn't like we lost to the freakin Chargers or Cardinals.

It's really hard to type with my fingers crossed.

Hoping for a big turnaround next week. Well, praying would be a better word, I guess.

All offseason there were plenty of posts about how Gun was coming back and whipping the defense into shape. Did he take a holiday instead or what?
