Chiefs need to daft wr Michael Williams

I know the defense debate but we need another gamebreaker and believe me williams is just that.

as the saying goes sometimes you need to take a step back before you can take two steps forward.

If we draft an offensive player before the third round, I am gonna start rooting for the L.A. Cardinals.

Not if Rolle or DJ are on the board.

In the 2nd round, I'd love to take Chris Henry(WR outta West Virginia) if he was available. He's got great size and speed. His hands are a bit suspect and he's fairly raw, but his upside is immeasurable at this point. He very well could end up being the best WR to come out of this draft. He's got an attitude on the field though, so that doesn't fit into our 'profile', but some of the best receivers in the league have attitudes, so that doesn't change my perception of him.

If we can't get Mike Williams, I'd like to see us get Tavares Gideon in the third or fourth... Not great -- but not bad -- speed, and the guy has ideal size and great hands. Plus, he's clutch beyond belief. If it's a big third down play and it's going his way, he's going to come up with it.

Sort of a Plaxico-type. **** the "system," he just catches the damn ball.

NO,NO and NO!!!!

haven't u learn anything at all from watching our crappy defense this year.

i rufuse to believe there won't be a viable defender in the 1st round when we pick. I mean we can use an impact player at virtually EVERY fuggin position on defense.

we take the BEST defensive player on the board in the 1st round

We take the best player (offense or defense) on the board! And do not try to convince me that it will be an OL or DL!

I'm not buying that BS anymore. We need playmakers! We won't get them in one draft. Peterson is going to have to seek impact FA's as well!

I still every time I think about missing out on Jeremiah Trotter last offseason for peanuts. He would've been a bargain impact player.

Dalton, Savii, and Sims are going to anchor the DT position. Jared Allen is a nice talent who will replace Hollipay. We need another DE, 3 LB's, 2 CB's, and one safety.

There is no sense in getting your hopes up. If we have a high first rounder, then Peterson will trade it for a low first rounder and two 2nd's and then convince us he got a great deal .

Only if Williams can play LB or CB. We need to draft all defense. This on's pretty simple.

Just ask the scRams how to miss on impact players when you focus on one side of the ball and do not take the best player available. Take a look at round 1 of the 2001 draft where they were desperate for "defensive" help and sacrificed their draft to that end.

1 1 Atlanta Falcons
(from San Diego) Michael Vick QB Virginia Tech

2 2 Arizona Cardinals Leonard Davis OT Texas

3 3 Cleveland Browns Gerard Warren DT Florida

4 4 Cincinnati Bengals Justin Smith DE Missouri

5 5 San Diego Chargers
(from Atlanta) LaDainian Tomlinson HB TCU

6 6 New England Patriots Richard Seymour DT Georgia

7 7 San Francisco 49ers
(from Seattle) Andre Carter DE California

8 8 Chicago Bears David Terrell WR Michigan

9 9 Seattle Seahawks
(from San Francisco) Koren Robinson WR North Carolina St.

10 10 Green Bay Packers
(from Seattle) Jamal Reynolds DE Florida St.

11 11 Carolina Panthers Dan Morgan ILB Miami (FL)

12 12 St. Louis Rams
(from Kansas City) Damione Lewis DT Miami (FL)

13 13 Jacksonville Jaguars Marcus Stroud DT Georgia

14 14 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
(from Buffalo) Kenyatta Walker OT Florida

15 15 Washington Redskins Rod Gardner WR Clemson

16 16 New York Jets
(from Pittsburgh) Santana Moss WR Miami (FL)

17 17 Seattle Seahawks
(from Green Bay) Steve Hutchinson OG Michigan

18 18 Detroit Lions Jeff Backus OT Michigan

19 19 Pittsburgh Steelers
(from New York Jets) Casey Hampton DT Texas

20 20 St. Louis Rams Adam Archuleta S Arizona St.

21 21 Buffalo Bills
(from Tampa Bay) Nate Clements CB Ohio St.

22 22 New York Giants
(from Indianapolis) Will Allen CB Syracuse

23 23 New Orleans Saints Deuce McAllister HB Ole Miss

24 24 Denver Broncos Willie Middlebrooks CB Minnesota

25 25 Philadelphia Eagles Freddie Mitchell WR UCLA

26 26 Miami Dolphins Jamar Fletcher CB Wisconsin

27 27 Minnesota Vikings Michael Bennett HB Wisconsin

28 28 Oakland Raiders Derrick Gibson S Florida St.

29 29 St. Louis Rams
(from Tennessee) Ryan Pickett DT Ohio St.

30 30 Indianapolis Colts
(from New York Giants) Reggie Wayne WR Miami (FL)

31 31 Baltimore Ravens Todd Heap TE Arizona

Round 2 had the likes of Drew Brees, Alge Crumpler, Chad Johnson, Fred Smoot, Chris Chambers, and Travis Henry.

STL took Tommy Polley with our 2nd round pick that year when Smoot was still on the board.

Almost all of the players taken by STL are a bust! It just goes to show, in order to build a solid team with depth you have to draft the best player. If that means drafting two WR's back to back then so be it. That position will be solidified for years!

yeah you right, we have to get dj, rolle or williams. everyone else doesn't even come close in terms of impact.
