What did he have to say? I think he is a Financial Advisor now days.
He was one of the coaches for my YMCA 4th grade flag football teams. He used to pick me up on Sat morning and drive me and his son to the games. Boy how things have changed in the last 25 years. Could you imagine a present day, best of all time football players, coaching while playing and working in retirement? |

It was pretty hard to understand Willie listening on the radio. I don't know if he was on a bad cell phone or what. He and Keitzman talked about the game back in 1971. I do know KK asked about the Jan S. Field Goal attempt that was blocked and another missed field goal. But it was very unclear on my radio i was listening to. Also right at that time I had a friend come into my office, so I was not able to listen to the whole interview ![]()

I'm in awe of mojo's story. That's really cool. How did you end up in Willie's car pool?

Hell yeah I knew who he was. Jim Tyre was also an Assist, his son Jason was the best player on our team. My Dad was the head coach for every other year as he alternated between my team and my older brothers. Willie was the other Assist. He used to live in Leawood South and pick me up in his Cadillac El Dorado. One year Mike Livingston assisted on many of the practices.
We used to practice at the Barstow field which I think is now houses now. |
