Quick question about motorcycles.

Believe it or not, this actually is related to my work.

Is there a particular size level that differentiates "big" motorcycles from "small" motorcycles? I'm thinking in terms of cc's or horsepower or something like that.

If your talking street bikes it goes something like this.

250cc -500cc= very small

600cc-650cc = small (though some of the new 600cc sport bikes are wicked fast)

700cc - 800cc - Medium

900cc - 1200cc - Big

>1200cc - really Big

It can depend on the style of bike. Sport bikes at 750cc are considered biggish , but a 750 cruiser is usually quite the slug and considered smallish.

depends on the type. a cruiser looking one can be anywhere from 250 on the small end up to 1800cc or more.

For a sportbike, the smaller ones start at 600 and can run up to 1400cc or so. A smaller sport will be in the 70-80 hp range, one of the crazy ones could pack 180 hp or more. For bikes I think it's typically measured at the crank and not at the rear wheel, so it's not directly comparable to cars.
