Ok let's get this done. After reading this you will never need to worry about the weather (outside of temperature) again for the KC Metro area and surrounding areas.
Spring Time, April-June=Milder temps giving way to heat and humidity as we approach June. Rain storms can be likely, especially if the sky is grey. There is always the possibility of hail, strong winds and tordandoes so keep that noted in your heads as you see a storm coming on. Summer Time, July-September=Hot, muggy and sticky. Rain storms still likely thogh tornado season is traditionally over by now. HOWEVER if you live in TORNADO ALLEY you should always note there is that chance. Otherwise expect bad weather to be more in the form of strong winds, hail and flashfloods. Fall Time, October-November=Cooling tems, less humidity. Rain storms are still possible when the sky is grey. Could even get a snow storm or two if the temp dips below 32. Winter Time, December-March=Colder temps. Grey skys can indicate snow and ice storms. So when you see a cloudy sky in the winter do not be shocked if snow and ice fall from the sky. Ice is slick btw so drive slow and trim those trees. Well there you have it. Your only weather forecast you will ever need for the midwest. In case you are wondering how to determine if the sky is grey or not you just stick your head our of your window and look up. Next week, "Why ice is cold", an exclusive documentary on the phenomenon of frozen water from the sky. Have a nice day!! ![]() Last edited by petegz28; 06-17-2008 at 06:21 AM.. |
