My experience in Crown Seats at the K and a fight.

wow... so. Yeah the Royals Crown tickets.

That shit was awesome. They served prime rib and a bunch of other shit, as much as you wanted. There was a hot dog sausage bar, a nacho bar, an open bar with good liquor. Inside the place was classy and nice, all the waiters and bartenders wore suits. You walked out one of the assorted exits and my seat was 3 rows behind home plate. What a great time. I drank a lot and watched the Royals beat down on the lowly Mariners. Meche pitched and Soria had the save. These seats are $230 each if you buy them singly or $185 if you buy season tickets.

And then some ****ing asshole almost ruined it.

I got up during an inning to go get 2 vodka tonics, one for me and my friend. While I'm in there I see a pile of c r a c ker jacks bags sitting unopened on the bar in front of a guy. It was a pretty big pile so I thought they might be community or something, like you could just take them, and I figured if they were for the taking I'd get some for my buddy who had asked for some outside but still had not received them from the waitress. I wasn't sure though so I walk over and ask the guy "hey are these your "The Man" jacks or are those community "The Man" jacks." This guy looks at me like I just told him his mother was a whore and says "If you tipped your ****in bartender maybe you could get some ****ing "The Man" jacks how about that?" Holy shit. I said something or other that I had tipped the ****in bartender and that he was an asshole then I went back outside to watch the game.

One maybe two innings later I've almost managed to put it out of my mind and the mother****er comes outside, stands right next to me (I've got an end seat) with an arm load of "The Man" jacks yellin "who wants "The Man" jacks?" and throwing them to whoever speaks up until the waitresses told him to leave. I couldn't believe that shit, I know he's doing it to antagonize me, but **** it I don't say a word and he goes back in to the bar.

Fast forward, the Royals win, and me and my 3 buddies go inside and we start fanning it up hardcore. We were posing in front of pictures of players and statues and getting some real nice photos. Most of the people had left, and the ones left were crowding around the bar for last call except us. It thought we were a bit out of place, but **** it, we were having a good time, but then the same mother****er walks away from the crowd over to us and starts talking to two of my friends. Now my buddies have no idea any of this shit went down, I had kept the whole thing to myself, but I can't believe he's going to come over to **** with me some more. So I go over to him and we exchanged some words and apparently he doesn't think he did anything wrong by treating me like trash, and I ended up calling him an asshole again and saying I'm going to go ask his buddies by the bar and ask what they think since they saw the whole thing too. I walk over to his friend in an expensive business shirt who is sitting at the bar and I'm like "Hey did you see that whole thing?" and he looks at me and says "Maybe you should tip your ****ing bartender." and I said "You know what, both of you guys are ****ing assholes." and white shirt guy jumps up off the bar, spins around and gets in my face, but I didn't flinch I just looked at him and said "What? What are gonna ****in do?"

Well security who I guess had been watching most of this immediately jumped on the guy and ejected both of them to the elevator and the whole time the white shirt guy is yelling that we're gonna finish this shit outside.

Well a few minutes later we leave and the two ****ers were waiting by the elevator for us. We go to get in the elevator and they join us for what is a tense ride but nobody says anything. When I get out I say I'm not here to fight anyone but the white shirt guy is walking right behind me and yelling shit and I don't remember what he was saying or what it was that was the last straw but I handed my glasses to one of my friends, turned out and put my fists up. I'm not really much of a talker when I'm angry. He comes at me and I think he throws a punch but I'm not sure, maybe he's shoving me but I hit him square in the nose with a good overhand right and I feel his nose break and blood immediately starts gushing out of both of his nostrils and my friend grabs him from behind and pulls him away. I think at this point that I've finished it and turn to to keep walking with my friends to our car, but the white shirt ****er with the broken nose gets away from my friend and starts following me again. I'm yelling back "Don't you follow me mother ****er, get the **** away me. Don't you ****ing follow me." that sort of shit, but he catches me in 20 feet or so and I spin and put my fists up again. This stupid son of a bitch swings and this time he hits me in the jaw, so I planted a haymaker with everything I had right in the middle of his face and his knees go wobbly and he stumbles then hits the ground. He's done. His face is a mess and he's covered in blood from his still gushing nose.

There is more to this story, like the fact that I accidentally walked into the players lots and got to see Soria and Dejesus but that's not nearly as interesting.

So yeah, that was my experience in the super richie rich section of the K. Can you believe this shit? I really didn't expect that to happen in the Crown Seats.

He was an a-hole no doubt but you should tip your bartender, dude. I'll bet he's on his favorite bartending website right now explaining to his buddies how he jerked in your drinks and crushed your nose in a single blow right now.

I've sat in the crown seats probably a half dozen times. One of my best buds works for a company that has four of them. We try to be on our best behavior when there, so not to screw up his deal to get those seats.

The food before the game is always fabulous. It's a big buffet with everything you could possibly want. Seafood, beef, ham, all kinds of salads and desserts, really good stuff.

They have little waitress chicks that wait on you hand and foot, and yes, you are supposed to tip them and the bartenders, and tip them pretty well. I've been lucky that every crown seat I've been given has been free, so tipping out $30 or $40 during a game is not a big deal.

Never had a problem with any drunken ass rich dicks, but maybe you were just a victim of circumstance. You're lucky you didn't pop a lawyer, or you might find yourself litigating, even if it wasn't your fault. Lawyers are funny that way.

Alcohol and wealthy snobs are pretty annoying. They have a false sense of entitlement and aggression which I have seen taken down quickly by a scrub that probably just got done from working a double shift and Burger King. 2 punches and the guy was out.

I figure you paid 230 bucks for the tickets. 2-3 dollar tip for the drinks would be sufficient. I don't doubt that you at least gave that to the bartender.

I also don't understand why your friend restrained the guy after you hit him. If you got a shot in, your opponent should be given the opportunity to retaliate. I hope your buddy wasn't holding the guy when you hit him. That would have been very poor form.

I'm not trying to go out of my way to critique you. I've heard these stories before. I've seen these stories unfold. Rarely does the after-story follow what happened precisely. It's usually cleaned up to make the teller look noble when he was just a likely at fault as well.

yeah he wasn't being held at that point. He had been following me across the lot and yelling shit the whole time. I was trying to ignore him and leave. My buddy is a reserve deputy where we're from and when the guy came at me he just fell into his training I guess and grabbed the dude to restrain him.

Like I said, he came at me, all I did was put my dukes up and I didn't even say anything. I'm not an idiot, if shit has to go down I'm going to defend myself, he could have walked off.
