Chief Fans Held Hostage Day 25
If Herm knows he's going to be fired why's he keeping his mouth shut-so unlike him. Could it be?
1. He's been told he's going to be fired but if he keeps his mouth shut here's a couple million for your cooperation. 2. He's been kicked upstairs and will serve in the Chiefs personnel side under Pioli. 3. He's been told that leaking any information to an outside source will be viewed as a breech of contract and will therefore void the final yar of his contract. In which case Herm doesn't get paid the $4 million owed by the Chiefs for next year. 4. He's been told to quietly seek a new job (Colts DC, Bucs DC, network, league) and not announce anything with the Chiefs making up the difference a lower paying job may net. Again, silence is so unlike Herm. |

This is a good point. Herm is a self horn tooting bastard that would like nothing more than to rub his job status in the face of the fanbase... Especially if he is keeping his job...
As for your post 1. That is an option 2. No freaking way, Herm is a marginal talent evaluator and sucks at building a team.. Pioli doesnt need that kind of help, nor does the city of KC... Look at Herms QB's, DL, LB's, OL's.... He sucks at player evaluation... 3. Could be 4. I dont care where he goes, he can go to hell as long as he is not here in KC in ANY compacity.. Yes we are still held hostage for hopefully at the most one more day... |

You know, I could see something like this. Clark likes Herm and may be making room for him on the payroll somewhere. It would be a good compromise. He's known for his scouting skills. Maybe director of scouting? |

The numbering is way off. Chiefs' fans have been held hostage to Herm's incompetence for about 1,108 days.

The guy is a disaster at talent scouting... I gave him way to much credit as stating he was marginal at best... So great scout huh? He sure hit the home run with Croyle, you know the QB, the cornerstone of the franchise... The fact that Clark likes Herm is very disturbing to us a Chiefs fans... |

Chiefs Fan Base deserves better
I dont understand what they are waiting for. I cant imagine they would keep him, wouldnt he be at the Senior Bowl workouts this week? I really hope they are somehow working out a mega deal with Cowher, and that is is the hold up. Thinking beyond Cowher, who do you think he would bring in as OC and DC? Also..I am not sold on Haley, they have the best wide reciever in the game and an insanely good offense. It would be a downgrade for him to come to KC form a personnel standpoint.
If Herm stays and Gun gone, I would think they wuold consider Meeks as DC with Herm. he is a total soft Cover 2 guy that would fit Herms "slow down how fast they score" defense. |
