Miami Dolphins Draft:

9. Kansas City
Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas
If the Chiefs are drafting this high again, the Matt Cassell era should come to a close.

Charlie Campbell:

25. Kansas City Chiefs: Landry Jones, QB, Oklahoma

As Walt has pointed out, the Chiefs have a talented roster and just need a long-term starter at quarterback.

Jones has the size (6-4, 229) and arm that NFL teams look for. He had another big season in 2011 throwing to wide outs Ryan Broyles, Kenny Stills and Jaz Reynolds. Broyles missed the end of the year, and that hurt the Oklahoma signal-caller in the final few games.

Jones destroyed Texas and Kansas State in 2011, but had bad games against Baylor and Oklahoma State. He completed 63 percent of his passes for 4,463 yards with 29 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.

The losses against the Bears and the Cowboys bring into question whether or not Jones possesses the 'it' factor to push his team to a win. He started 10 games as a freshman and 14 games in 2010. Jones made big strides as a sophomore, completing 65 percent of his passes for 4,718 yards with 38 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Buffalo Bills Draft:

19. Kansas City Chiefs -- CB Johnthan Banks-Mississippi State

While the Chiefs did add former Raiders CB Stanford Routt to try and help get over the loss of Brandon Flowers. In the end though the better choice may be to draft another young CB and with Banks laying here that decision is made even easier.

Draft King:

12. Kansas City Chiefs - Landry Jones, QB, Oklahoma (6'4" 216)
Jones' stock dropped last season after his go-to receiver, Ryan Broyles, suffered a season-ending injury. But he wisely returned to OU for 2012, and if he returns to the form he showed in 2010 and in early 2011, him going this high seems entirely reasonable. It's do-or-die time for current Chiefs starting QB Matt Cassel, who is slated to have base salaries of $7.5 million in 2013 and $9 million in 2014. If Kansas City misses the playoffs, the Chiefs might decide to cut bait on Cassel and go with a blue-chip prospect in the draft.

18. Kansas City Chiefs
Tyler Bray, QB, Tennessee
The Chiefs are on the verge of becoming an legit contender, but won’t take the next step until they upgrade at QB. Tyler Bray is a big pocket passer who can really let it rip. He can make all the throws, but needs to be more consistant in his decision making. Bray could go much higher than this if he tears it up in the brutal SEC this year.

Draft Season:

15. Kansas City Chiefs- Landry Jones QB Oklahoma

If the Chiefs end up drafting here, then it will have been a very disappointing year. Kansas City is home to one of the youngest and most potent defenses in the NFL, but if you don’t have a quality QB you will always struggle to get wins. If you don’t believe me look at some of the teams that were in the top 10 in points allowed: Jacksonville, Seattle, and Cleveland. All of them have fairly potent defenses, but they only managed to average just over five wins each. QBs win championships and Landry Jones is the best QB on the board.

NFL Draft Room:

9. Chiefs: QB Landry Jones, Oklahoma
At 6,2, 220 Jones has decent size for the NFL. Has a strong arm and quick throwing motion, combined with good decision making.

NE Patriots Draft:

23. Kansas City Chiefs -- Tony Jefferson, S, Oklahoma
Jefferson has played a lot of positions for the Sooners, including nickel CB and free safety. If he declares, he might be the top safety picked.

Draft Tek:

14. Kansas City: QB Landry Jones, Oklahoma

Baring Matt Cassel showing that he can maximize the play of the players around him, the Chiefs are looking for another quarterback. Jones tailed off towards the end of last year. Should Jones take a nice step foward, the Chiefs would be happy to take him in this spot. Keep an eye on the Chiefs during the draft. They are a team that could be looking to package picks to move up for a quarterback.
