Romo was calling out Spags and others....

Did anyone else catch Romo talking about how Spags has not shut down any team's #1 WR this season?

He was also getting on the Chiefs and the Bills to a lesser extent for not running the ball more.

I haven't figured out the Spags approach yet and I am curious if Spags has figured it out himself? We are never in position to challenge passes. Our pass rush is weak. We have 1 interception all season.

Today I watched a play where Sneed literally dropped almost 10+ yards off of his guy only to watch Allen throw right to that person for a good gain.

I won't get into running the ball or the lack thereof but if we don't start we are going to get Mahomes killed.

Injuries are an issue in our secondary, I agree, but we seem to consistently give up 5 yards unless it's a bad pass or the WR drops it.

Not a huge fan of Spags, but he's also not been given a lot of talent on the DL. He's trying to make chicken salad out of chicken shit with the talent he's been given at DE and DT, aside from Jones.

How is it Hoody-Bill can field a good defense year in and year out and we always have an excuse of no talent?

I am not saying we have the best players in the world but our scheme seems rather soft most of the time compared to a lot of other teams you watch.

Isn’t that every defensive scheme though? I’m not a fan of Spags either, especially with his predictable blitz on 3rd & long, but wouldn’t Sutton or Robinson have done well with a solid DL?

Meanwhile, as Romo pointed out, we let Diggs put up well over 100 yards. We have not taken away a team's #1 WR all season, granted, last week Adams got a chunk on a 4th down play but still....

We have our moments, they just seem to be few and far between

I was surprised how aggressive he called plays at times. He left Williams on an island and got burned by Davis for the TD right at the end of the half.

There were some wise open receivers but for the most part guys were in position. Especially on the tds. They just couldn't make a play. I think that will come, most of our cbs are rookies.

No.....

Sutton refused to adapt scheme to personnel, he always wanted personnel to adapt to scheme

The biggest disappointment was 3rd and 13 on the 2 and you send no one. I mean, even if you send some heat and Allen scrambles for the first it's most likely better than the completion he made.

I know we are an offensive based team but 3rd and 13 from the 2, your defense has to try and make something happen there.

I thought spags did a helluva job tonight. He knew he had shit at cb tonight and schemed a way to still be productive

^ This. KC held an explosive Buffalo offense to 24 points without Gay, McDuffie, and Fenton while starting two rookie CBs drafted in the 4th and 7th round. And we were still a bad Mahomes INT and missed FG from beating Buffalo who some on here think have an All Madden roster.
