Randy Moss. Would you have made the trade?

Poll forthcoming. Would you have traded Kawika Mitchell, our 1st round and a late round pick for Randy Moss?

Nope. Great player, but too big a problem off the field and in the locker room. I don't want a player that gives up and walks to the locker room with time remaining on the clock. That's crap.

Anyone who would have traded our first round pick for an offensive player should be sentenced to 10 years of spongebathing Denise.

I said yes, but only if I were convinced he wouldn't destroy the team with his bad attitude. That's such a big if that it's fantasy, but since it's not going to happen I was able to vote yes anyway. If it was Terrell Owens, I would have done it in a heartbeat.

Nope.

This team has too many issues to handle to worry about babysitting little Randy and keeping him happy so that he might actually put forth some effort on gameday.

Id much rather have Tony G being the number one receiver on the team at Tight end, and not have a true number one receiver than to have that piece of shit on the roster.

He will fit right in out there in Oakland. They deserve each other. They really do.

Nap Harris > Kawika Mitchell

7th pick > 15th pick

The Late round picks about equal out. You'd have to sweeten that pot.

-EDIT- I voted "Yes". If you guys could have gotten away with that package OF COURSE you'd make that trade.

The Vikings have a propensity for making monumental mistakes with trades. Remember the Hershel Walker deal?

For years MN has had Randy Moss and no defense and it hasn't gotten them very far except for once. This would give our salary cap a pretty big hit, and in return would kill our chances of getting any kind of stud D player in the first round, leaving us stretching for a hopeful starter for a second rounder.

Um, no.

Even with Moss being a malcontent, he was worth more than what the Raiders gave up. Good trade for them IMO. At that price, Moss even being a head case, is a no-brainer.

It's funny the Vikings are considering another WR with the 7th pick in the draft. Getting a 1st round pick this year, and another 1st or 2nd down the road would have given them more room for error. The Vikings are just asking for this trade to backfire.

Make that 3... for what it's worth, I have yet to find a Viking fan that doesn't absolutely abhor this deal.

For some odd reason, when I read the thread title, I got to thinking from the angle, if I was cursed, and was the GM of the Chokeland Raiderettes, would I have done the trade. The answer would be absolutely YES! After all, Moss fits the profile player.

After reading the thread, and from the Chiefs standpoint, No I would not make the trade. Moss's head is too big for the team. Think about it, why is/was he on the trading block anyway? I wouldn't even want him if he was a FA and we got him at a bargain price. I think there are too many problems surrounding him that would affect the team.

There are plenty of players I'd trade two firsts for.

Urlacher, Julius Peppers, Ed Reed, etc...

But I can't think of an offensive player right now.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
