Let's hope Zack follows a similar game plan to what Runelvys executed yesterday.

Awesome. Here's hoping Zack put on a good show. Anyone in here going to do PBP or do anyone want me to do it? (If I have the game on TV, which I'm more than positive that it will be on)

This kid is one of the reasons I am going to follow the Royals for a while this year. After reading a few stories about the kid he intrigues me.
A total nut job that has pitching knowledge beyond his years, at least that’s what the critiques claim.

I'll be posting a score-sheet style account of what happened after each batter does something, but if someone wants to do an active lively PBP and discussion, thats what this thread is for!

Would love to, but I'm off for school early today.

I have to agree with whoever said Zack is a nutcase. I think a lot of it has to do with being a 20-year-old kid from Florida. He's got great stuff and when he's on, it's great to watch. Had tickets last year when he got his first win at home. Besides opening day and the Cardinals/Yankees series, that was the most electric the ballpark had been all year.

Well, I can do a batter PBP. You can get a example of how by this thread. Of course, that was my first time, so I was a bit rusty.

He doesn't always look perfect, but his stuff is unreal for a 21 year old who hasn't pitched a full season in the majors yet.

They've got a good lineup. I think they were 5th in homers last year, too. Detroit could win the division with some luck.

But, the guy he's facing today had an ERA over 5 last year so hopefully we can plate some runs early. It would be nice for Greinke to get up early so he can cruise.

I'm not sold on their starting pitching yet. Even more so after what Maroth did against our shitty lineup yesterday.

Yea I know they're better. They made dramatic improvement last season. I'll still believe they're really good when I see it.

This is one year when the KCR pitching will be much better than the hitting. Strangely enough, I think our starters are actually pretty decent. The hitting..................well, we'll be near the bottom in runs scored, yet again. We just don't have enough pop or speed in the lineup to put any sort of fear into the opposing teams pitchers.

This is true, unless they can play "small ball" at it's finest, then they might have a chance. I just know that that Royals are not really a "power" hitting team, but they still can do the little things like yesterday as a good example. If for some reason, the Royals are hanging around in the weak AL Central and within striking distance of the lead, then I would think that they might trade one of their pitchers for a bat. But that's just my speculation.
