Charger fan checking in...

just wanted to check in and catch up on the latest info on how the Chiefs are looking. I've followed some of your threads here, but was unable to watch the KC vs. Min game last week. Was hoping to get some feedback on a few questions I have:

-How's your defense look overall?
-How are you offseason pickups doing so far? (Surtain, Bell, Knight, Hall and of course, DJ).

Sounds like Kris Wilson, the TE is going to add another weapon to you already potent offense.

Looks like your offense is still set and Priest appears to be in awesome shape.

Just wanted to see what you guys thought and where you think your potential weak areas might be.

Overall, would you say that your expect your defense to be vastly better than last year?

thanks.

If you're the patron of a local bar, work in a hotel lobby, or are a police officer, I'd be concerned.

Otherwise, the Chiefs are imploding.

How's your defense look overall?

minor signs of improvement... but it's early

-How are you offseason pickups doing so far? (Surtain, Bell, Knight, Hall and of course, DJ).

Surtain = great ... Bell = still freakin hurt ... knight = good but slow, DJ = mega potiential, looks like stud

Sounds like Kris Wilson, the TE is going to add another weapon to you already potent offense.

we keep hearing this, but have yet to see it

Looks like your offense is still set and Priest appears to be in awesome shape.

offense is good to go, looks like we filled our RT spot vacated since john tait left

Just wanted to see what you guys thought and where you think your potential weak areas might be.

offense - still the wide receiver position, Defense still looks weak overall we still have a long way to go

Overall, would you say that your expect your defense to be vastly better than last year?

don't know ... depends on the improvement by the defense.

thanks.

hey, thanks for askin'

Kris Wilson is a training camp phenom. If you can get him for your training camp fantasy league, draft him in the first round. The first time he makes a play in an actual game that counts, call me. The warranty is up on the hype machine.

Just my observations and opinions.

The offense has a chance to be improved.

We know what we'll get with Priest, Tony and Eddie, and Trent.

LJ has the ability to be an explosive change of pace.

Even if Samie Parker isn't all world, his speed, and the threat that speed adds to the offense will create more opportunities for Eddie and Tony.

If Boe is healthy, he adds another dimension.

Kris Wison has to prove it in games.

Kevin Sampson is going to be a mauler at RT, and will only improve our already league best O-Line.

And T-Rich is still one of the best blocking FBs in the league.

The defense still has a long way to go.

Sims needs to show up on gameday every game and provide the push in the middle.
The game against Vikings at least gives some hope that could happen.

Hicks is just an "effort" guy on one end, and Allen didn't look as good as last season in the game, but it is only one preseason game.
Still, we need improved play on both Ends this season.

Kawika still needs to step up his game.
DJ showed flashes of his speed and athleticism, but has a long way to go to become an impact rookie.
And Bell just needs to suit up and play.

Surtain is a stud, but the rest of the secondary strongly resembled the '04 secondary.
Warfield's suspension is going to hurt in the first 4 games.

Playing the games is merely a formality, go ahead and give us the Lombardi trophy.
