Pretty cool stuff. It's a top secret counter measure that acts like a force field. As long as their are Islamists, the defense industry will be booming (pun intended) looking for inventions like this.

Thank God. I didn't want to admit it until someone else did. I spent a couple of minutes trying to figure out WTF a tampon torpedo was before I read the post a second time.

Well as I often times do, I did speak erroneously what I meant to say was Photon torpedoes.

However; Tampon Torpedoes seems to have sparked more of a dialog.

That is awesome. The graphics seem misleading as it doesn't really seem to be a force field per say, but it still looks very cool. This would be a HUGE psychological advantage as well as a physical advantage.

Its bogus. The Iranians are claiming missiles that "duck" radar and go undetected through water at 224 mph and yet undetectable. They are both posturing.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have a torpedo that can go that fast. The Soviets developed one back in the 1960s, IIRC. Rocket-propelled and it produces a bunch of bubbles near the nose to overcome water resistance, or something.

That could make sense, especially since they got their nuke technology from the Soviets as well, at least I think they did...
