I don't like the BYE week so close to the beginning

3rd week for by to me is a bad placement. I would rather see it towards the end.

Yeah..that gives them 13 straight games w/o a break. Not to mention by week 3 we're all just getting used to having the chiefs play again and then just like that we have a week w/o a game! WTF!!

Eh. Every team plays the last 8 in a row. I think they've had really good luck over the years with getting byes around weeks 7-9. Not everyone can have it.

Starting with the 2006 season, the NFL will use a "flexible-scheduling" system for the last seven weeks of the regular season. The system is designed so that the league has the flexibility in selecting games to air on Sunday night that will feature the current hottest, streaking teams.
